It’s difficult to keep up with all the great musical artists, but at the same time, its downright criminal how badly Janelle Monae is overlooked. If you haven’t checked out her latest effort, Electric Lady, you’d be doing yourself a really big favor by doing so.
This week she released the official video for the title track, “Electric Lady,” and there’s simply no way you’ll be able to watch it and refrain from at least bopping in your seat. You’ll likely spot a handful of familiar faces that popup in Ms. Monae’s Electro Phi Beta sorority. Members include T-Boz, Esperanza Spalding, Monica, Estelle, Kimbra, Joi and Fatima Robinson.

But, the real guts of the piece come from the intertwining of these celebs and athletes with appearances from regular folk, which effectively exudes the width of respect for Jeter and his accomplishments.
