It seems like in any election season, things get a little ugly. All of a sudden, we’re at odds over women’s rights, civil rights, economics. I find myself wanting to stay off Facebook and spending my time outside rather than in front of the television. People believing they should be able to dictate how others live really makes me sick to my stomach.
I think Alex Dakoulas of Dance Party Massacre has been feeling that same queasiness. With self-righteous Chick-Fil-A publicly supporting civil rights limitations and then the tidal wave of ignorant discourse that its rioted, Dakoulas felt the need to use his personal brand to share the message of acceptance.
His new tee is Triumph of Evil, which is currently available for pre-order. Five bucks from each tee order will go to Minnesotans United for All Families, an organization that supports marriage rights for all. Support right now is important, as in November, the people of Minnesota for some reason will get to decide on whether same-sex marriage is to be illegal in their state constitution.
