My trip to Agenda Long Beach this year opened my eyes to a number of brands I was previously in the dark about. I walked around the floor and would periodically come across a booth that would immediately peak my interest. Bucketfeet was behind one of those booths.
Bucketfeet partners with artists around the world on every single one of their shoe releases. They don’t design any on their own. Instead, they turn to artists who inspire them and allow them to do their thing.
My favorite shoe amongst their current collection was designed by Rio de Janeiro’s Ment, known for being a pioneer in the graffiti scene of his hometown. Ment used his opportunity to incorporate a style that he uses a lot on the street. The pattern on his Vidaboa shoe utilizes positive words and is a playful take on the city’s countless favelas.
The shoe features a premium canvas upper and a durable rubber outsole. Inside, you’ll find cotton-canvas lining for softness.
Vidaboa is available in both men’s and women’s sizes for $65. I personally would prefer the men’s style, as the women’s version features a very slight heel, but go with the one you like best.
