Freshjive + Guy Webster : Dennis Hopper

Freshjive put together a t-shirt that features a photo of the late Dennis Hopper (1936-2010), who recently passed away.

The picture was taken by photographer Guy Webster.

Dennis Hopper passed away recently at the age of 74. Originally making a mark in the 50s alongside James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause and Giant, he will always be remembered to me from the various colorful and unforgettable roles he played throughout his life: The photojournalist in Apocalypse Now, Frank Booth in Blue Velvet, the father in Rumble Fish, Clifford Worley in True Romance,  Howard Payne in Speed, and countless others. He also directed the critically acclaimed Colors, and most notably, Easy Rider in 1969 which became the cinematic symbol of the 1960s, and which a film critic once noted that, “No other persona better signifies the lost idealism of the 1960s than that of Dennis Hopper.” Besides acting, Dennis was a prolific photographer, painter, and sculptor, while once known to be one of Hollywood’s most notorious drug addicts for 20 years.

Also on the other side is a video where Ricky Powell discusses these two releases.

Oh, Snap! takes interesting photographs and places them on a shirt for you to be a walking picture frame.  Seems like it would be an easy endeavor, but instead of slapping pics of their cat on the shirt and calling it a day, they collect some really interesting photos.

All t-shirts are $30 and available via Oh Snap!.  Hit the jump to see additional designs.

“My War” from Blood Is The New Black

Blood Is The New Black says this design is their second tribute to Black Flag, but to me I see a statement promoting the idea of that everyone has to follow their own path and deal with their own issues.
