Brilliant Agony : “Peace Keepers” and “Greetings”

Brand new Brilliant Agony has released two t-shirt designs for the summer, entitled “Peace Keepers” and “Greetings”.

“Peace Keepers” makes a statement about the complication of the meaning of peace.

Peace is a beautiful concept, but at what cost? Is it justified to take force on those who don’t agree with your concept of peace? Your peace and liberty may have a different meaning to different cultures. The more you enforce your ‘peace’, the more it’s met with resistance. Which then turns to violence and loss of lives, most of which are innocent. Reevaluate your crusade before it blows up in your face. Literally.

“Greetings” is meant to disclose that there’s more to California than perhaps meets the eye.

Don’t let the commercials and the beach and the weather fool you. Things in the Golden State aren’t always all good. California has a rich history of prejudice, discrimination, violence, and resistance. The shirt includes pictures from the Watts Riots in 1965, The L.A. Riots in 1992, and The Black Panthers, who were formed in Oakland, California in 1966. Tensions are still high in certain areas of this great state and we still have a long way to go before things are right. Until then, enjoy the weather, the smoke, and the culture.

Each design is available in two colorways.  “Peace Keepers” comes in black and white and “Greetings” is available in heather gray and white.

Each is $28 and available for order via Brilliant Agony.  Hit the jump to see additional images.
