benny gold releases winter line

Written by . Filed under Street Tees. Tagged , . No comments.

Last month Benny Gold released their winter line, an impressive collection of shirts, hoodies, and belts.  Nearly every piece creatively incorporates their image of the paper plane.   I pretty much wanted to cry when realized there are no women’s cuts.  That belt may find it’s way into my collection soon though.

For anybody who prefers the men’s cuts, my favorite in their releases has to be “Works For Jerks,” but as you can see below, picking one of out the lot can be difficult.

milk & eggs releases two brand new designs

Written by . Filed under Artsy Tees, Positive Tees, Sales. Tagged , . No comments.

If you weren’t a sucker like me, and didn’t miss the Renegade Craft Fair that took place a couple weeks ago in San Francisco, then you would know about the two new tees by Milk & Eggs Co.  If you had to spend that weekend running around with your head cut off getting ready to host family at Christmas, however, then you get to find out this morning just like me!

I love Milk & Eggs, wearing their “Draw Your Own Way” design probably once a week.  Their new designs fit right alongside the looks of their previous releases, with simple, distinct lines.

And if you’re a small of medium framed individual, you can take advantage of the $8 sale Milk & Eggs is having on the remaining stock of “Happy Food Is Good Food.”

And lastly, don’t forget to tell them what free button set you want with your order!

pulled myself from bed to tell you about these new designs…

Written by . Filed under Artsy Tees, Funny Tees, Love Tees, Positive Tees. Tagged , , . No comments.

I apologize for being somewhat MIA, but I spent New Years praying to the porcelain God after some bad food knocked me out for a good two days.  Still a little weak, I’m going to start a little slowly today and just let you know about some sweet new releases that have come to my attention.

But first, time for sappy-ness.  I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who’s helped me get this blog going.  I started in my short sleeve only in November.  I’m excited to continue helping it grow throughout 2010.  Thank you to all of the readers and to the shirt companies for all of your support!

Now with that said, let’s look at a couple new releases.

First, OMUNKY, who releases a new design every month, has just put out possibly their best work with “MUNKY-VIEW.”  Now if you didn’t know, MUNKY’s are addicted to the dramas of reality TV, and if cut off… well… you don’t want to know specifics, but horrible things may happen.  That’s the inspiration in this month’s design, which features one-said MUNKY enjoying possibly The Kardashians or Deadliest Catch.

Get it for $20 via OMUNKY.  Be sure to use the code: SHORTSLEEVE for 15% off your purchase.

Next, .FREE Clothing released their winter line at midnight on New Years Eve.  I recently posted about a couple of their shirts, here, but I’m also digging their new selections.

I love the simplicity of the designs.  All of the selections below are available in unisex cuts.

read books! Or at least act like you do by wearing this Mark Twain shirt…

Written by . Filed under Artsy Tees. Tagged , . 3 Comments.

I need to apologize to Mark Twain, because when I was twelve and forced to read Adventures of Huck Finn, I couldn’t get with it.  Why do they start kids too young reading books like this?  Now at thirty, I can somewhat grasp the genius of the author.

Obviously, so does Spindustry, because they have a t-shirt design especially for Mr. Mark Twain himself.  You can get it for $25, but only if you like it in a men’s cut.

what’s so bad?

Written by . Filed under Positive Tees, Typography Tees. Tagged , . 3 Comments.

Uh yeah, this shirt is beyond dope.  From Chalk Brighton, “What’s so bad?” at first looks like a simple typography design, but really it’s an example of being efficient, effective, and powerful with words.

I love the cursive font.  I love the color.  I love the words.

The words, by the way, are taken by Haruki Murakami, an incredible Japanese author.

“What’s so bad?” is available through Chalk Brighton.

Below is the latest.

ride safe and love it

Written by . Filed under Funny Tees, Typography Tees. Tagged , . No comments.

This tee reminds me of something that would be worn by the nerdy character in some Indie teenage flick, but I love it nevertheless.

“Ride Safe and Love It.”  About bike safety?  Or… not.

Give $18 to Vig Tees, you can decide.

so alive

Written by . Filed under Artsy Tees, Positive Tees. Tagged , . No comments.

Maybe it’s because we’re getting close to New Years and I’m getting sentimental about where I’m at in my life, but I immediately was taken by this new shirt by Glamour Kills.

So Alive” utilizes the entire front of the shirt.  It’s in your face and yet subtle.  And is that the same font used in “Where The Wild Things Are”?

Get it for $24.99 via Glamour Kills.

I *swoon* for Word Boners

Written by . Filed under Typography Tees. Tagged , , . No comments.

Let me just first say that this is going to be a complete post jack from Coty Gonzales.  I found this tee company on his site this morning and was completely blown away.  So if you’re browsing the tee blogs and you’re wondering why Word Boner Store is showing up more than once, it’s cause I felt too compelled and inspired after looking through their collection to not immediately write something about it.

The online shop for Word Boner is run through the print-on-demand Spreadshirt, which I’m do not have first-hand experience to discuss the quality of printing, but I soon will be.  The strength of these designs easily push me over the edge to roll the dice that the actual shirt will look like it does on the site.  I’m making an order sometime this week.

As you can see by the small sample of the collection below, Word Boner is all about typography and word play.  They have inspiring, funny, clever, positive, and in-your-face phrases with more than likely double-meanings.

I’m obviously absolutely in love with them.  Originality at it’s finest.  Thanks to Coty Gonzales for bringing them to my attention.

Depending on what style you want to get the design printed on, Word Boner shirts range from $15.99-$22.99.
