Essaywhuman?!!!??!

Okayplayer has dropped some new threads celebrating The Roots. You know The Roots, right? That hip-hop group that has produced quality music since 1987 while being illegally slept as uninspiring, lackluster fluff owns the radio?

If you’re a Roots fan, you’ll love these new tees, which includes Legendary Roots Crew, Mpozi (which features the first photo documenting The Roots performing), Do You Want More, Things Fall Apart and illadeph.

Orders can be made via Okayplayer.

Okayplayer recently released their “?uestlove Wordsworth Tee.”

?uesto’s face was filled with percussion terminology for this “Wordsworth” tee on sand color.

Get it for $25 via Okayplayer.

Note: Do you have The Roots’ latest album, UNDUN? If not, smack yourself and then grab it here.

The Roots “No Preservatives”

Written by . Filed under Music Tees. Tagged , . No comments.

The Roots released undun, their 13th studio album yesterday. I’m not going to claim it a classic or tell you it’s the best of the year or all that blah, blah talk. What I will tell you is I love the album and I’ve been playing it nonstop since purchasing it. Yes, PURCHASING it. (By the way, today it’s $3.99 at Amazon).

To celebrate the release, they also relaunched the Okayplayer store and amongst the new tees is their “No Preservative” tee, which reps all of The Roots albums from Organix through undun.

It’s a pretty sweet piece for Roots fans. If you’re one such fan, you can acquire yours, in either white or black colorways, via Okayplayer.

I got the heads up about some sales that just started and wanted to pass them along.

All of Simply Complicated’s tees are now $15 or less ($12 for their logo, “Revolutionary” designs and their “Bondolero” design).  Getting news of this sale is bittersweet because I JUST ordered from them, but I got to support one of my favorite lines.  You, on the other hand, better jump on this.

I’ve made it apparent that I’m a music lover, and though I’m open to listening to anything, nine times out of ten I’m reaching for a hip-hop album (or double-clicking one in my iTunes).

Most of the artists I enjoy are affiliated with Okayplayer, which is a hip-hop social site started by Questlove of The Roots.  Along with the other big shirt sales this week, Okayplayer is giving 40% off all clothing, and they’ve got some pretty sweet tees.

Prices below do not include the discount, which will be taken upon checkout.
