If you’re around San Francisco today, think about heading out to the Thread Show in San Francisco.
Charlie Noble will be there, as well as some other local designers.
The Thread Show is today, Sunday, November 21st from 11am to 6pm at the Metreon Shopping Center (101 4th Street, San Francisco). RSVP via Thread Show to get in for 5 bucks.
A huge thank you to Derek at 4fifteen for shipping me over a couple of 4fifteen tees. They came right before the World Series started, so they got some major wear time in right away.
If you’re from or live in San Francisco, or perhaps just a fan, you need to check out 4fifteen. They have some incredible designs, all of which celebrate the beautiful city of SF.
I was fortunate to receive the “4fifteen Bridge” and “Read Between The Lines” designs. They quickly made their way amongst my favorite tees in my closet.
In the next issue of their Native Leagues Project, True has collaborated with Black Scaleto offer Volume 7, which features a New Era 59Fifty, a tee in two colors, and a camouflaged jacket.
Mega brings his Black Scale brand to the Native Leagues Project roster for San Francisco streetwear mainstay True. Saluting the rich legacy of the SF Bay area sports teams is the purpose of The Native Leagues Project and for release #7 Black Scale takes it all the way back with a tribute to the Seals. This release features a new era 59Fifty & a tee in two colors.
The Natives League Project Vol. 7: Black Scale drops today, Saturday, September 11th at the Black Scaleflagship store (55 Grant Ave, San Francisco), True SF(1415 Haight Street, San Francisco), True East (1335 South Main Street, Walnut Creek), and online via True Clothing.
I get super amped when I find an artist or brand that brings an entirely new look, different from everybody out.
Illustrator Amos Goldbaum puts his own personal touch onto his pieces. Along with prints and other items, Amos puts his work onto t-shirts. I walked by his booth at last weekend’s Renegade Craft Fair last weekend and was immediately captivated.
He’s got a couple of Bay Area inspired tees, including the one that immediately caught my eye, “Ferry Building, Embarcadero”. The Ferry Building holds one of my all time favorite burger joints, Taylor’s Refreshments (or Gotts now, I guess).
The tee is available on both men’s and women’s crewneck, and a unisex v-neck. It’s $25 and available via Amos Goldbaum.
This weekend, True is releasing the latest of their Native Leagues Project, this one a collaboration with Diamond Supply Co.
True has been collaborating with other brands to create designs meant to celebrate San Francisco and the Bay Area sport teams.
Diamond Supply Co. steps up to the plate to join San Francisco’s True for Native Leagues Project release #6. The concept behind the Native Leagues Project is for True to collaborate with some of their top brands in tribute to the legacy of Bay Area sports teams. San Francisco native Nick Diamond pays tribute to his hometown team in the Diamond way with this release.
Native Leagues Project Vol. 6: Diamond will be released this Saturday, July 24th, at Diamond Supply Co. in Los Angeles, True SF, True East and online via True.
Hall of Fame and Huf have come together to create a couple of t-shirt designs, which will be released this upcoming weekend.
Both the “Los Angeles” and “San Francisco” versions, which are a part of their “Hella Fame” line, will be available in black and white colorways. More images of the designs are available after the jump.
Mighty Healthy has been around the country opening up Pop-Up Shops, and from May 11th until May 23rd, they’ll make some room for themselves and set one up in the Black Scaleretail shop in San Francisco.
Exclusive “steals and deals” are available, as well as a special Black Scale X Mighty Healthy collab tee (shown after the jump).
Black Scale is located at 55 Grant Avenue, San Francisco.
Below the jump is an image of the exclusive collab tee and a video of the crew setting up the shop.
Both designs are available now for $25/each via Red Choo Choo.
The first one is entitled “Loin” and is a tribute to the Tenderloin district in San Francisco (which I was actually just in two weeks ago and got proposed to twice).
The Tenderloin district in San Francisco is filled with unique characters and establishments that would not fit neatly into a monthly catalog. As the city tries to market the area as a gritty, urban enclave (NY Times), we know the reality of crime and drugs will always be a part of what is ironically, also the area filled with most of the hotels for tourists. Show your love to the area that I would rather spend time in than Fisherman’s Wharf.
Second up is “Clowny,” a tee which features a broken hearted clown.
Happy on the outside, but sad on the inside. The clown is always the comic relief in circuses while also terrorizing many adults to act like children. An oxymoronic symbol of what it’s like to be a kid again, or a statement to show your broken heart. It’s in hipster approved Caribbean Blue, and will actually show the world that indeed, you do have a heart although somewhat cracked in the middle.
If you’re a music, art or food lover in the San Francisco Bay Area, you know about the Fillmore neighborhood.
The Brooklyn Circushas re-released their “Fillmore” tee, apparently a popular choice among BKc staff. The shirt is available now in both men’s and women’s cuts at BKc, 1521 Fillmore Street, San Francisco.
Adapt Advancers released their Spring 2010 Ladies Collection yesterday, offering up some brand new looks that had me incredibly giddy and trying to figure out how to afford one of each piece. Seriously… EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE.
Their Spring/Summer Collection is entitled “Jackie.”
All products are now available via Adapt Advancers. Hit the jump to see the entire lookbook.
4fifteen, out of the San Francisco Bay Area (and the 415 area code), has just dropped some peeks of their Spring 2010 collection, which I spotted over at The Fresh Stock.
Per usual, you’re going to find designs that celebrate their hometown of San Francisco.
Products are yet to be available online or in stores, but are expected soon.
On April 15th, Mayer Hawthorne will finish off his two month tour in San Francisco. To commemorate, Stones Throw, Huf and designer Freegums has put together a limited collabo pack consisting of a t-shirt and a heart-shaped USB that carries Hawthorne’s “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” already preloaded.
The release party is on April 15th at Eve Lounge (575 Howard Street, SF) from 10 pm-2 am and is free to attend.
The Hundreds released their Rosewood Spring 2010 Collection this week, which will be available exclusively at their Los Angeles and San Francisco locations, with some designs being exclusive to one location or the other.
There are some special ones in this collection, with both the LA Logo and SF Logo tees, each featuring that city’s skyline. Plus, there’s a tribute to the author J.D. Salinger who recently passed, entitled “Rye.” And lastly, “Seals,” which is a tribute to a former San Francisco sports team.
Dope. Hit the jump to see the entire Rosewood Collection.
I am lucky to live in the San Francisco Bay Area for a lot of reasons. The Giants, the food, the people. But also, the available fashion surrounding the area is out the roof.
I just came across Black Scale, a street wear company out of San Francisco. I probably need a late pass, but it’s good I discovered them now, right? It doesn’t look like there’s much of an online shopping presence right now on their own site, though they do have some limited selections on Karmaloop, but if you’re able to hit up their shop in the city, you should probably do so.
My favorite release they have right now is “Fear is the New Black.” Their new Spring Collection just kicked off on February 26th. You can find their shop at 55 Grant Avenue 2nd Floor, San Francisco. Visit Black Scale’shome page for more info.
Here’s a video they just released promoting their brand, entitled, “Balance of Opposites.”
