True in San Francisco has been closed down for about a year due to a fire that destroyed their shop. After working their butts off, the store is about ready for relaunch. To commemorate True’s rise from the ashes, Benny Gold is re-releasing the True Native League tee that the two brands collaborated on two years ago.
When the original tee dropped, it sold out in the same day. If you missed out, or want to grab yourself a new one, the Benny Gold X True Native League shirt will release this Saturday, June 30 at Benny Gold (3169 16th Street, San Francisco).
True Clothing celebrates their 15th year anniversary with a collaboration project with ONETRUESOUL. The duo have released a Varsity Jacket that features the True 15th Anniversary patch on the sleeve and the pattern often found on ONETRUESOUL pieces on the sleeves, bottom hem and hood.
The Varsity Jacket is available in all black as well as black with white sleeves. Both are available via ONETRUESOUL.
True Clothing has been releasing some really impressive headwear pieces as of late. More to be highlighted soon. Today, we present their new “Por Vida” snapback in red.
Bay Area based True released their second collaborative effort as part of their 15 Project, this time with 10 Deep. The new release features a mid weight varsity jacket designed by 10 Deep‘s owner and lead designer, Scott Sasso, as well as some coordinating tees created by True.
Both the jacket and tees are available in men’s and women’s sizes (awesome).
If you’re unfamiliar with the 15 Project by True, it’s a series of releases curated by friends, family and brands that are part of the history of True. All 15 of the projects will drop between July 2011 and July 2012, which is the 15 year anniversary of True.
This True X 10 Deep: 15 Project release #2 is available now at True SF, True East and via True.
To celebrate True‘s 15 year anniversary, fellow Bay Area brand Adapt Advancers has released a tribute design titled “For Fifteen,” which they’ve made available in multiple colorways and on various pieces for both men and women.
TRUE. If you are from the bay area and you are reading this blog, you are most likely familiar with the store(s) and brand of that name. They have been a mainstay in San Francisco for as long as I can remember, and this year celebrate their 15 year anniversary (apparently my memory lasts 15 years). They have been a significant supporter of the Adapt brand over the years, and this project marks our third collaborative effort. We wanted a simple and direct way to pay tribute, with an acknowledgement of the 15 year milestone as well as the city’s area code.
All items are available starting Friday, September 9 via Adapt and True.
True East is hosting the brand’s 15 Year Anniversary party today, July 16, which features a barbecue and free music.
On July 16, 1996 True first opened its doors for business on Haight Street in San Francisco. To celebrate 15 years of making up our own rules and then forgetting what they were, True will be releasing 15 projects from July 16, 2011 to July 16, 2012.
The first of the 15 projects will be available at the event.
True East is located at 1335 South Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA.
On Saturday, April 23, visit True East (Walnut Creek) to participate in the UNDRCRWN X E-40 Collaboration launch event.
The event features a meet and greet with 40-water himself, but they will also release new UNDRCRWN tees and snapbacks, inspired by baseball card designs. There will be free bbq and a live DJ.

Yeah, okay, so yesterday was 4/20 and thus this post is coming at you a little late, but I’m guessing those who are fans of the day will still be interested in this package from True, whether it’s April 20 or not.
This year’s 4:20 release from True is called “Fly the Friendly.”
This 4:20, we take it back to basics. We’ve brought back the first wooden grinder we ever released, with the classic RBL Posse lyrics that no one needs to be reminded of. We’ve also brought back our classic Homegrown t-shirt which pretty much speaks for itself. To top it off we teamed up again with Get Live SF’s DJ Boogie Brown to bring you “Fly the Friendly Skies: Part Doobie,” a collection of new and classic songs relating to the activity that makes April 20th famous. Sometimes you don’t want to mess with a good thing, keep it classic.
The “Fly the Friendly” Collection is available via True, True East (1335 Main Street, Walnut Creek) and True SF (1415 Haight Street, San Francisco).
I moved to Oakland from Walnut Creek last year and I love everything about that decision, except that I’m further away from True’s shop in the Creek. I haven’t been there since I moved.
True has released a Valentines Day Collection, titled “Anti-Trust.” The collection features a zip hoody, tee, bikini underwear and CD. The message on all of the pieces is the same… sometimes love sucks.
The “Anti-Trust” collection is available in both men’s and women’s sizes (except for the bikini underwear).
You can order them at True in SF (1415 Haight Street), True East in Walnut Creek (1335 Main Street) and online via True.
The latest to hop on with TRUE and their Native Leagues Project is San Francisco’s Black Scale.
The Native Leagues Project is an effort put together by TRUE to collaborate with other local brands to celebrate the San Francisco sports teams.
Together, TRUE and Black Scale will be releasing the Native Leagues Project New Era 59Fifty Fitted Cap, which features the Black Scale logo on the back and the San Francisco Seals logo on the front.
True is releasing their “Anti-Champions” 14th anniversary collection this weekend.
In celebration of fourteen years of non-relevance, San Francisco natives True releases this capsule collection. Especially meant to cope with the variety of temperatures & elements one may deal with on a typical Bay Area summer day, True offers up tees, crewnecks, zip hoodies and the all important flask.

The “Anti-Champions” collection will be available at True San Francisco, True East and online at True.
True Clothing has dropped their fifth piece to their The Native Leagues Project, this time collaborating with Jeff Staple and his legendary Staple design house.
If you’re not familiar with The Native Leagues Project, it’s an effort lead by True, in which they collaborate with their favorite brands to salute the history of Bay Area sport teams.
The True X Staple piece celebrates the San Francisco Giants with an orange/black colorway of their infamous pigeon tee.
The Natives Leagues Project Vol. 5: Staple is available now or $36 via True and at True SF and True East locations. Hit the jump to see additional detailed images.
