It’s difficult to keep up with all the great musical artists, but at the same time, its downright criminal how badly Janelle Monae is overlooked. If you haven’t checked out her latest effort, Electric Lady, you’d be doing yourself a really big favor by doing so.
This week she released the official video for the title track, “Electric Lady,” and there’s simply no way you’ll be able to watch it and refrain from at least bopping in your seat. You’ll likely spot a handful of familiar faces that popup in Ms. Monae’s Electro Phi Beta sorority. Members include T-Boz, Esperanza Spalding, Monica, Estelle, Kimbra, Joi and Fatima Robinson.
COMUNE has offered up a preview look at their upcoming WMNS Collection. The video was filmed and edited by Joel Woodman. Modeling is handled by Jenny Parry. Music is provided by the lovely Ella Fitzgerald and her track, “Get Thee Behind Me Satan.”

S.O.O.N. released the first video in a series they will be releasing about their new clothing brand. The first is an introduction to the theme behind the line, which is to celebrate the passion and capabilities of independent artists. S.O.O.N. stands for “Something Out of Nothing.” An appropriate title that correlates nicely with their theme. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out on the team from S.O.O.N.
