Anything related to A Tribe Called Quest immediately gets my attention, so when I caught a glimpse at Denver-based Tribe Clarity’s 2013 Back To Soul Collection, I was pumped. The entire Collection pays homage to Tribe, as well as the time back when people would praise intellect instead of ignorance.
Here’s a quick glimpse of the Collection, which as of today is available for pre-order. Check out the entire thing here and then make your pre-orders via Tribe Clarity.
Happy Martin Luther King Day. I encourage you to take some time out of your day to do something for your community. UNDRCRWN celebrates the day with a new tee. Their “The King” tee is made of 100% cotton.
Lifestyle brand A Lot To Say, Inc. is making efforts to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy with their new Sandy Relief tee.
The tee, just like all of the items from A Lot To Say, Inc., is made with 100% post-consumer plastic bottles and a no water dye process. When you order the Sandy Relief tee, 100% of the profits from the sale will go to the American Red Cross.
CXXVI presents their Disaster Relief T-shirt, which is handmade in the United States and is meant to pay tribute to the unwavering persistence of the people of New York. Half of the proceeds of the tee go directly to the relief of Hurricane Sandy victims across the state of New York.
It’s available now to pre-order for $30 via CXXVI. Orders will ship November 28.
Random Objects dropped Part 2 of their Fall/Winter 2012 Collection, which consists of their The Whole tee, a reprint of their popular Origami Pigeon tee, their Build Bridges zip-up hoodie and their B the CHANGE print and sticker.
Bumpy Pitch presents their BPFC Laurel Crest BCA tee, which was released to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. The tee is available exclusively during the month of October and a portion of the profits will be donated to breast cancer research.
Grab the BPFC Laurel Crest BCA tee for $30 via Bumpy Pitch.
Akomplice Clothing have collaborated with Blue Gold Documentary to present a collection focused on raising money for Food & Water Watch. The collection features a line of socially conscious tees and water bottles meant to raise awareness for the impending world water crisis.
Sam Bozzo‘s award winning 2008 full length documentary Blue Gold: World Water Wars offers a look into the wars fought over water as investors and governments jockey for control of a diminishing water supply.
Orders of the water bottles or three tees come with the full length DVD. All proceeds (that’s 100%) are donated to Food & Water Watch. Everything will be released on September 3. You’ll be able to make orders via Akomplice Clothing.
It seems like in any election season, things get a little ugly. All of a sudden, we’re at odds over women’s rights, civil rights, economics. I find myself wanting to stay off Facebook and spending my time outside rather than in front of the television. People believing they should be able to dictate how others live really makes me sick to my stomach.
I think Alex Dakoulas of Dance Party Massacre has been feeling that same queasiness. With self-righteous Chick-Fil-A publicly supporting civil rights limitations and then the tidal wave of ignorant discourse that its rioted, Dakoulas felt the need to use his personal brand to share the message of acceptance.
His new tee is Triumph of Evil, which is currently available for pre-order. Five bucks from each tee order will go to Minnesotans United for All Families, an organization that supports marriage rights for all. Support right now is important, as in November, the people of Minnesota for some reason will get to decide on whether same-sex marriage is to be illegal in their state constitution.
Support the fight for civil rights and pre-order (available until 9/1) the Triumph of Evil tee for $24.95 via Dance Party Massacre.
The latest from OBEY Awareness is a collaborative effort with Jail Guitar Doors USA, which is an organization that works to rehabilitate prisoners in America by providing them with musical instruments. Jail Guitar Doors USA was founded by musicians Wayne Kramer and Billy Bragg in an effort to give prisoners a non-confrontational means to express themselves.
The OBEY Awareness X Jail Guitar Doors USA Collection will feature two women’s tees, which can be seen below. As with all OBEY Awareness campaigns, all proceeds will go to the organization. Everything will be available on August 26.
